Mobile App — Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the ChurchGrids mobile application (“App”), you agree to be
bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including church administrators, staff members, and
volunteers.
2. Description of Service
ChurchGrids is a church CRM and communication platform that provides the following core
services:
• A2P (Application-to-Person) SMS messaging to opted-in contacts
• Contact record management with notes and activity tracking
• Automated engagement workflows via The Grid
• People list management and ministry communication tools
ChurchGrids is designed exclusively for use by churches and religious organizations and their
authorized staff.
3. Account Registration & Access
To use the App, you must register for an account with valid organizational credentials. You are
responsible for:
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring only authorized staff or volunteers access the platform
• Notifying ChurchGrids immediately of any unauthorized account use
ChurchGrids reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. SMS Messaging & A2P Compliance
ChurchGrids provides A2P SMS messaging services. By using the messaging features, you
agree to the following:
4.1 Opt-In Requirements
You may only send messages to individuals who have explicitly opted in to receive
communications from your organization. You are solely responsible for obtaining, documenting,
and honoring opt-in consent from all message recipients.
4.2 Opt-Out Compliance
All SMS messages must honor opt-out requests immediately. Recipients may opt out at any
time by replying STOP. Once a recipient opts out, you must not send further messages to that
number. ChurchGrids automates STOP handling, but you remain responsible for compliance
within your contact lists.
4.3 Message Content
You agree not to send messages that are:
• Deceptive, misleading, or fraudulent
• Harassing, threatening, or abusive
• In violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Unrelated to the legitimate ministry activities of your organization
4.4 Carrier Compliance
Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Standard message and data
rates may apply to recipients. You acknowledge that message deliverability is subject to carrier
policies and network conditions outside of ChurchGrids control.
5. Data & Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these
Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the
Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring your use of contact data within ChurchGrids
complies with applicable privacy laws including but not limited to TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and any
applicable state regulations.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not use ChurchGrids to:
• Send unsolicited commercial messages or spam
• Harvest or scrape contact information without consent
• Impersonate any person, organization, or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Resell or sublicense access to the platform without written authorization
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the ChurchGrids App — including but not limited to The
Grid automation engine, interface design, logos, and software — are owned by ChurchGrids
and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive,
non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify,
distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChurchGrids shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental,
special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes but
is not limited to damages resulting from:
• Undelivered or delayed SMS messages
• Data loss or corruption
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Interruptions or errors in the service
ChurchGrids & total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App
in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ChurchGrids, its officers, directors,
employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable
attorney fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation
of any third-party rights.
10. Modifications to the App & Terms
ChurchGrids reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without
notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after
changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable
efforts to notify users of material changes.
11. Termination
ChurchGrids may terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without cause, with or
without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of
these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership
provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict
of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts located in Nashville, Tennessee.
